It took a crew of 40 people more than two days to create Cardi B and Offset’s baby shower in Atlanta. Friends and family (including Cardi B’s sister Hennessy Carolina) danced the night away amid tons of pink and white flowers, pink balloons and more, shown in video footage shared to the couple’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
The incredible setup featured more than 26,000 pink and white flowers, done by C.Wayman Floral & Events.
Flower blooms burst out of 6 train subway car replicas, while others were crafted into a menagerie of animals including a momma and baby giraffe. The true showstopper was a 16-foot floral facade.
Vogue received exclusive details on the shower from its event planner, Karleen Roy, which she described as “a magical and imaginary Bronx land fit for the quintessential baby girl … only this time there is a plot twist in this lavish story: It’s a magical, whimsical land, but FOR THE CULTURE!”
Vogue reports the night’s entertainment was provided by the Ballethnic dance company and hip-hop orchestra group Orchestra Noir and that the baby’s library included titles like Viva, Frida and Buenas Noches, Luna, while the “Bardi Baby Bodega” offered multiple baby-related items such as bottles and diapers wrapped in pink ribbon.
For dessert? A five-tier cake covered in flowers, with each tier boasting a different flavor: red velvet, chocolate ganache, strawberry, honey bun and Dominican pineapple. Guests also went home with purple baby blankets, which Vogue describes as “a nod to the epic self portrait shawl Cardi once wore to the airport.”
Cardi B — who was dressed in a light-pink bump-hugging dress and lots of sparkling jewels for her shower — posted a video Monday showing off her baby bump in a red dress while dancing and lip-syncing to her hit “I Like It.”
